Expert Educational Support for Learners, Families and Schools

At The Support School, we provide specialist educational services designed to help learners overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. Whether you are a parent seeking answers about your child's learning needs, a school leader looking to strengthen SEND provision, or an adult learner wishing to improve your skills, our experienced team offers practical, evidence-based support tailored to your individual circumstances.

Our services combine educational assessment, SEND and inclusion consultancy, EHCP support, cognitive profiling, English and Maths tuition, ESOL provision, and school improvement consultancy. We take a holistic approach, recognising that every learner is unique and that effective support requires a clear understanding of both strengths and challenges.

Working across the UK and with the international school community, we support families, schools, colleges, training providers, and educational organisations through a blend of online and consultancy services. Our goal is simple: to provide high-quality educational expertise that improves outcomes, promotes inclusion, and empowers learners of all ages to succeed.

Services

We offer a range of specialized services tailored to meet your individual needs. Our approach is focused on understanding and responding to what you require, providing effective and practical solutions.

Cognitive Profiling Assessments - Online

Every learner is unique. Our Cognitive Profiling Assessments help identify how an individual learns, processes information, solves problems, and retains knowledge. These detailed online assessments provide valuable insight into learning strengths, potential barriers to achievement, working memory, processing speed, attention, and learning preferences.

Following the assessment, families receive a comprehensive report, practical recommendations, and a personalised home-school support plan. Schools can also use the findings to inform classroom strategies, interventions, access arrangements evidence, and SEND support planning. While not a replacement for an Educational Psychologist assessment, cognitive profiling can provide meaningful evidence of need and help guide next steps for learners who are struggling to make expected progress. It is a crucial piece of  evidence to present if any further evidence of need is required for EHCP applications or to support parental concerns about their child's needs

SEND and Inclusion Consultancy

Our SEND and Inclusion Consultancy services support schools, multi-academy trusts, early years settings, colleges, and families seeking expert guidance on special educational needs and disabilities.

We provide SEND audits, inclusion reviews, EHCP guidance, policy development, staff training, leadership coaching, behaviour support, adaptive teaching strategies, and school improvement consultancy. With over 30 years of educational experience, we help organisations build inclusive cultures where learners with additional needs can thrive while ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, Equality Act 2010, and current inspection frameworks

School Improvement and Professional Development

We work with schools and educational organisations to strengthen teaching, learning, leadership, and inclusion. Our consultancy services include SEND strategy development, leadership mentoring, curriculum support, staff training, quality assurance reviews, and whole-school improvement planning.

By combining practical experience with current educational research and policy, we help school leaders develop sustainable systems that improve outcomes for all learners, particularly those with special educational needs, disabilities, and additional learning needs.

Online English and Maths Tuition

Our personalised English and Maths tuition helps learners build confidence, improve attainment, and develop the skills needed for academic success. We support primary, secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, and adult learners through engaging online lessons tailored to individual needs.

Whether a learner requires support with reading, writing, comprehension, grammar, mathematics, examination preparation, study skills, or confidence building, our experienced tutors create structured programmes that deliver measurable progress and lasting results.

EHCP Support and Advocacy

Navigating the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process can be challenging for families. We provide independent support at every stage of the EHCP journey, from gathering evidence and preparing applications to reviewing draft plans and advising on appeals.

Our approach focuses on helping parents understand their rights, identify appropriate evidence of need, and present a clear picture of their child's educational challenges and strengths. We work collaboratively with families and schools to ensure learners receive the support they require to access education successfully.

ESOL and English Language Learning

We provide specialist ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) tuition for children, young people, and adults worldwide. Our programmes support learners from beginner to advanced levels and focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Services include General English, Business English, IELTS preparation, Functional Skills English, academic English, and conversational English. Lessons are delivered online by qualified and experienced teachers who understand the challenges faced by learners studying English as an additional language.
